Starship is our national children’s hospital, providing world-class healthcare for all children across Aotearoa New Zealand. Inside Starship and in communities across the country, extraordinary stories unfold every day. Behind every story is a dedicated team of Starship specialists and staff and behind every Starship team are dedicated supporters.

The Starship Foundation provides vital support for Starship, investing in key areas that help to bring better health and brighter futures to our children. Since 1992, generous donors have given more than $160 million, helping the Foundation to invest in life-saving care and services, latest advances in technology and medical equipment, boosted family support, specialist training and research and innovation. With the continued compassion and generosity of incredible New Zealanders, more incredible stories will continue to be written.

Our son Teddy was born under emergency circumstances and spent his first few days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Our heart goes out to all parents who have young ones in hospital, and by supporting Starship we can all make that time a little easier. 

Bub & Bear are proud to donate a portion of our proceeds from every order, to the Starship Foundation. 

In 2023 we donated $750 in November representing $1 for every sale made since we took over Bub & Bear in November 2022. In 2024 as we expand our product range and customer reach we commit to increasing our donation to this worthy cause.
